Aims

Target Schools aims to provide hard facts and real experiences for pupils, so that they are in an informed position to make up their mind about the University of Oxford in particular but also higher education in general.

The most effective tool to do this is you, the undergraduates! School students are much more likely to listen and learn from those near to their own age: We encourage undergraduates to volunteer and share their enthusiasm, energy and experiences. We can provide tips and training relevant to giving presentations in general and specifically those to school students, as well as organising an annual Shadowing Scheme involving over 200 Year 12 students.

Our overall aim, whatever project we embark upon, is to encourage pupils from all backgrounds to aspire to applying to the University of Oxford and other world-class institutions.
